Open Fairlead

Aluminium Open Fairlead

An open aluminium fairlead is used to guide ropes and lines, such as mooring lines or sheets, to ensure they run smoothly and do not chafe against the yacht’s structure.

Guiding Lines:
Fairleads are designed to direct lines towards winches, cleats, or other deck fittings, ensuring they follow a desired path. This helps in maintaining an orderly and efficient deck layout, reducing the risk of tangled or crossed lines.

Preventing Chafing:
By providing a smooth, low-friction surface, fairleads help protect lines from wear and tear as they run over the yacht’s edges or through tight spots. This is crucial for maintaining the integrity and longevity of the lines.

Open Design:
The “open” aspect of the fairlead refers to its structure, allowing easy insertion and removal of lines without having to thread them through a closed loop. This design makes it convenient for quick adjustments and handling.
