Description
40mm Single Extreme High Load Block
The XHL range has been designed to deal with extremely high loads without compromising on low load dynamic performance.
This has been achieved by combining the Allen dynamic bearing technology – twin rows of stainless-steel ball bearings running on a stainless-steel axle – with a plain bearing peek washer.
The result is a bearing system which can take extreme static loads without damaging the dynamic performance of the ball bearings.
Ideal for use in vang cascades or halyard turning points where static loads can be extremely high but low load dynamic performance is required.
We suggest using this block for the king-post rotation block (bottom vang block taking the full load of the vang) on a moth vang. This application is subject to extreme static loads so the XHL bearing technology is the perfect fit.
Features
- CNC machined aluminium side cheeks.
- Precision turned stainless-steel sheave.
- XHL Bearing Technology.
- 1500Kg breaking load.
For highly loaded and fast-running lines, we suggest using the A9040.
chrisrash –
Perfect for the Moth to allow smooth rotation of the boom even when the vang is on hard. Makes boat handling easier and the system more reliable due to low levels of friction. The large hole through the centre is more than big enough for 3 pieces of 3-4mm rope so attaching all the cascades required to have a 48-1 or 64-1 system is not problem.
lauramarimon –
Perfect at the top of the Nacra 17 mast to allow fast and reliable hoists of our gennaker!
chris.zeiser –
The block for the heavy work! Same application as Chris Rashley on the vang-boat attachement point and as upper block (boom-attached) at the J70 vang (much smoother than the standard one).
Strong, reliable and light in relation to its strength.
