40mm flip flop block with ball bearing sheave and allenite cam cleat.

Flip flop blocks are designed to pivot around a central fixing point, this keeps the rope close to the deck, mast or boom whilst still allowing the block to articulate to the correct lead angle, ensuring friction stays as low as possible whilst still guiding the rope to where it needs to go.

Relocatable Sheave – Features two locations to install the dynamic sheave. Simply undo and remove the bolt holding the sheave in place and relocate it in either fixing hole on the main body. These two options allow the block to be installed and used in a wider range of applications.

Dynamic Bearings – The sheave features our dynamic ball bearing technology. Which uses twin rows of stainless-steel ball bearings running on a stainless-steel rail. This provides a superior load-carrying ability and longevity when compared to other bearing systems which run on a plastic rail.

Removable – A clevis pin holds the main flip flop body to the backing plate. This clevis pin is the central flip flop /pivot point for the block. Removing the clevis pin will part the body and backing plate, allowing for easy access to the backing plate as well as giving the option to install the body either way up.

Allenite Cam Cleat – Also featured is the A.676 medium Allenite cam cleat. Allenite is a material developed by Allen specifically for low weight and good heat dissipation to increase wear resistance over standard acetals. The Allenite cam cleat offers a good weight saving over the aluminium version.

Ideal for lower loading halyards, pole launchers and jib sheets. Higher loading applications should use the A2143-76.
