Racing Improves The Breed
They say, “racing improves the breed,” and it appears Olympic Silver Medallist Stuart Bithell, Fireball Champions Tom Gillard and Chris Birrell / Sam Brearey and other leading UK dinghy racers agree. Both Stuart Bithell and Tom Gillard have joined RYA Podium Squad members Chris Taylor, Dylan Fletcher and Alain Sign under the Allen Brothers sponsorship banner.
Stuart will be campaigning a 49er on his Road to Rio campaign and in the International Moth will compete against other Team Allen sailors, British Sailing Team Coach Chris Rashley, four time International Moth European Champion and winner of the 2015 International Moth GP, Dylan Fletcher and Podium Potential Sailor Chris Taylor.
“I really do believe Allen have some of the best products on the market”, commented Stuart, while Fireball Champion Tom Gillard added, ““I am really pleased to be sponsored by Allen Brothers. I will be competing in all major Fireball events this year and this helps massively. I use a lot of Allen hardware and being able to have an input into product development is a very rewarding part of being a professional racer.”
Liz Adams, Managing Director, explained, “Allen Brothers has always had a policy of incorporating feedback from its sponsored sailors into its products, so sponsoring Stuart and Tom and the other Team Allen Sailors gives us a double benefit. In addition to the visibility it gives having Allen hardware and branding on what will undoubtedly be winning boats, we get really valuable feedback for our Research and Development. We could not be happier having them all on board.”
Allen Brothers sailors compete at National and International events in the most competitive classes and include members of the RYA British Sailing Podium Squad. The company is known for its policy of incorporating feedback from competition into new product development.
