Luke Patience and Joe Glandfield Luke Patience and Joe Glandfield

With Allen team sailors Luke Patience and Joe Glanfield busy on the world cup circuit the new pairing took some time to give us an update on their season thus far.

2013 has been a fantastic season for Joe and I so far. We teamed up in January this year with the intention to put a program and campaign together that could challenge for a gold medal in Rio 2016”.

“We have had a healthy amount of early success together and look to surpass that into next year. We have stood on 4 out of 6 podiums this year through the world cup and European champs. We are fresh home from the world champs with a 5th place which holds a certain amount of disappointment but will be short lived as we look back on such a great year”.

“We can come out of this season and safely say we are one of a group of about 5 boats that are consistently challenging for medals at every regatta on the tour. It’s great to be able to say this 3 years out from the games. There’s plenty to be working on for now but the future has the ability to look bright at an early stage. Time to crack on”!

“We thank Allen Brothers for the ongoing support that keeps our boat slick and leaves me peace of mind that fittings are not a worry that has to sit on our shoulders”.
